5 Tips To Help Boost Your Style
Hi Posh Squad,
I can’t believe we’re approaching the summer, are you on track to achieve your style goals?
Hopefully the answer is yes — but if not — and you’re stuck and have no idea from where to start, here are 5 tips to help stimulate your style:
1 – Start thinking of your ability to get dressed as a gift instead of a chore. Your personal style is an opportunity for you to show up for yourself. Reframing the act of getting dressed as something positive can be the mind shift you need to better embrace style, have fun with this challenge 🙂
2 – Put on your favorite outfit. Accessories and all! Smile, and take a selfie. Refer to it when you need a little style inspiration and motivation. Tip: To take a good mirror selfie, position your phone mid-torso and look into the mirror, not the camera!
3 – Schedule time to “play in your closet.” Set aside 30 minutes this week to play in your closet. Try things on, rediscover pieces you’ve forgotten about, mix and match, and start wearing more of your clothes. You may need to start by organizing your closet first. 4 – Journal/Take Pix. Start keeping track of what you wear and how it makes you feel. When you wear a new style or outfit combination, identify what made you feel good, what made you uncomfortable, what you’d like to buy more of, etc. Identify patterns (like colors or styles you wear repeatedly) and use that information to guide what you buy and wear. Looking for a stylish, unlined journal to document your style journey?
5 – Start with your undergarments. Give yourself an undergarment makeover. Purchase the most empowering pieces you can find (whatever that means to you) and wear them confidently.Wearing great foundational garments can make you feel more confident and may inspire you to start working on your overall personal style.
Pick one and try it!
Which of those suggestions is doable for you? Choose one and start slow.
